Let’s Talk Summer Style

One of my favorite parts about living in New England is dressing for the seasons. With summer right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to dedicate this first newsletter to a roundup of styles that I love wearing throughout the summer. My goal here was curating styles that you can mindlessly mix and match so you’re making the most of your closet!

Simple Sandal

A sandal that will go with everything. Either these Margaux Wrap Sandals or these Tkees ones.

Understated Belt

If you keep your accessories pretty minimal (like me!), I recommend investing in a belt that will really elevate a simple look. This Aureum one is my all-time favorite style that I now own in two colors.

Classic Sunnies

My second preferred (and practical) summer accessory. I’ve been wearing the Beale style from Warby Parker recently, but I’m also obsessed with these Chimi ones that I’ve had for years and always get questions on.

Oversized Button Down

A summer essential! It will work for lunch, the beach, travel, morning coffee run & beyond. I love this white one (I have the striped version).

Basic Tank

You will reach for this more than you think! I have this $9 H&M one in many colors.

White Tee

I have a white tee obsession especially paired with a perfect summer tan. I’ll link two — this Everlane one for a slightly cropped, boxy fit and this Vitamin A one for an oversized fit that is magic for layering.

White Jeans

Relaxed Jeans

Jeans with a little bit of room — I stay away from anything fitted in the summer. I just ordered two pairs from Gap to try. These and these.

Jean Shorts

An investment, but you will have season after season (and on warm weather vacations). I think I have the same style in three washes at this point, but start with these ones.

Boxer Shorts

For when you can’t muster jean shorts, I love a really simple short with an elastic waist. These look good and will work with just about any top!

Maxi Dress

A Maxi dress in the summer feels so effortless to me. I’m currently eyeing several, but I’ll stick to the one I’m definitely ordering. I love the Swiss Dot and the drop waist on this one.

Maxi Skirt

One of my summer hero styles! I have this one from Staud. Wore it on my wedding weekend!

Summer Sweater

For chilly evenings and as an accessory over your shoulders. I have this style in grey and wear it constantly. The Oatmeal is so pretty for summer!
